Ski and Board Club

Lift Ticket Voucher instructions were emailed to all Club participants. Meal Vouchers are available for pick-up at the Parks & Recreation Office.
Program Information
This program is open to Bernards Township Residents in grades 6, 7, and 8. The schedule includes four Sunday afternoon trips on January 4, 11, 25 and February 1, 2026. Participants will arrive at Pleasant Valley Park no later than 12:30pm to depart for Shawnee Mountain Ski Area and return at approximately 8:30pm. Transportation is on a Motor Coach Bus with storage underneath. In case of inclement weather and/or conditions, the designated make-up dates are February 8 and February 22, 2026.
The maximum number of participants will be dependent on the number of committed adult volunteers, not to exceed 150 participants maximum.

- Register Online with your Parks & Recreation household account with payment by credit card or register in-person with cash or check. This fee covers transportation and administration of the program - $140.00 per participant. This fee is non-refundable after 11/9/25.
- Instructions will follow, at a later date, to purchase lift tickets and any additional packages directly through the Shawnee Mountain online portal by the designated deadline. The fees paid to Shawnee will be non-refundable once paid. First-Time Lessons are REQUIRED if the participant is a brand-new skier or snowboarder. Please see the following options for lift tickets and lessons (pricing is TBD, see Fee Information Tab for estimated costs):
- Participants must bring their own equipment for each trip. Rental equipment may be obtained on your own by contacting any local ski rental shop. There are no rentals available at the mountain.
- Helmets are mandatory.

- 4 Trip Twilight Lift Ticket -OR-
- Student Club Pass - A limited season pass valid on school club visits, plus students can ski/ride anytime open/close midweek as well as after 3pm on weekends and midweek holidays.

First-Time on Ski or Snow Board Lessons - These lessons are ideal and required for NEW participants who have not skied/snowboarded prior. These are one hour long, group lessons, which take place at the Learning Center/Beginner Hill on each of the four trips.
- Beginner Hill Basic Lessons - These lessons are for new skier/snowboarders learning to control speed, turn and stop. These are one hour long, group lessons, which take place at the Learning Center/Beginner Hill on each of the four trips. If a participant can already ski/snowboard or ride the Green and Blue Trails from top to bottom with ease, these lessons are NOT appropriate.
- NEW One-Time Refresher Lesson on Week 1 - Brush up on Stopping and turning. This is a one hour long, group lesson, which takes place at the Learning Center/Beginner Hill.

After week one, participants will be able to purchase additional Beginner Hill Lessons to keep building confidence or a Green Trail Lesson to explore the trail from top to bottom.

No outside food may be brought to the mountain. Participants may bring money to purchase food or pre-pay for a meal plan.
