Township Committee
Committeeman John Carpenter
Mr. Carpenter is a 40-year resident of Bernards Township who graduated
from Ridge High School in 1976 and Union College in Schenectady,
NY with a B.S. in Computer Science, in 1980. With the exception of 5 years
in the late 80's and early 90's, when he was employed as a corporate
pilot, Mr. Carpenter has spent most of the last 28 years as a
self-employed software consultant. He is currently employed in the sales
department at Bayer HealthCare in Morristown, NJ.
First elected to the Township Committee in 2005, Mr. Carpenter’s service
on township boards and commissions includes:

John and Lauren Carpenter have been married for 25 years and have 3
children; two have graduated from Ridge High and a third is there now.
Mr. Carpenter served as mayor of Bernards Township in 2008.
