Boards & Commissions
The Planning Board is responsible under state statute for preparing and adopting a Township Master Plan and for reviewing land use development within Bernards Township. The Planning Board is charged with reviewing subdivisions, site plans, planned development, conditional uses and certain variances. The Planning Board also reviews and recommends revisions to land use ordinances to the Township Committee.
The Planning Board is made up of nine members and two alternate members. In
addition, the Planning Board retains its own staff and consultants annually
at its reorganization meeting.

the public meetings of the Board and are invited to ask questions
and provide comments and statements regarding applications that
appear on the agenda. To review copies of applications for
development, please contact, Frances Florio, Planning Board Secretary,
at 908-204-3026, Monday thru Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
As of June 6, 2006, the Planning Board has adopted the following procedure.
There will be no new cases heard after 10:00 p.m. and no new witnesses
or testimony will be heard after 10:30 p.m.
