The meeting was called
to order by Randy at 7:40 PM, when we had a quorum.

Roll Call
Present: Randy Santoro, Charlie Cunion, Mark Harabedian, Chris McManemin, Terri Laird, Dave Ferratti, Judy O’Connell. Absent: Fred Burgerhoff, Jack Gray, Scott Spitzer.

Minutes from June

Reviewed and accepted as written.

Bills/Purchase Orders
- None.
5. Correspondence
- State
survey for Gypsy Moths – Mark will complete and request aerial survey.
6. Grant Report
(Green Communities)
- will
submit invoice for reimbursement after the 5 Year Plan is approved.
7.
Charter Day (May 17)
- Karla
Tramutola is attending our meeting tonight as a
result of the Charter Day sign up sheets.
8. Arbor
Day (April 26)
- No
update, no publicity in the Bernardsville News as of today.
9. Education Report
-
May be able to
get CEU credits for today’s Tree identification class with Dave Welch (5 people
/ 1 hour).
10. New Tree Plantings
- will discuss plans for Fall planting at the August meeting –
all commissioners should have their lists compiled by then. (Please forward to
Fred)
- reminder that the new trees need water!

Tree Removals/Prunings
- No
updates.
12. Updated Community Forestry
Plan
- Approved
at Township Committee’s 7/15 meeting, will now send to the State for
approval. Congratulations to our
subcommittee (Charlie, Mark, Randy) for all their hard work on this!
13.
Old Business
- K&J Landscapers’ trees at
- 6 new
- Judy brought 3 “new” tax maps for Commissioners.
- Randy has been in touch with the Power company’s
Environmental contact to discuss plantings around the power stations. JCP&L will see if they have money in this
year’s budget to see if they can remove the dead trees/bushes.
