Road Closure Information for Bernards Township

 Road Closure Information
North Brook Ave, William St, and Chapin Ln will be closed on Tuesday, September 23 for pavement sealing. These roads will be closed from approximately 8 am to 5 pm, or when it is ready to receive traffic. The sealing material is a liquid product that is spread over the road and takes several hours to set. Please refrain from driving on these roads at this time because the material WILL adhere to your car if it has not hardened. The Township or contractor will not pay for cleaning or damage to your vehicle.
Roads that received the hot in-place recycling (HIR) treatment will be sealed starting next week, on or about Wednesday, September 17. The contractor will be moving street by street, and will be providing notices to local residents the day before the scheduled sealing treatment. On-street parking will be prohibited during sealing, and access to individual driveways may be limited during the day to provide curing time for the material. The roads will be reopened at the end of each day, or as the material cures and can be opened to traffic. The roads will also be cleaned and swept prior to placement of the sealing course. We apologize for the delays, and thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete the resurfacing.
The seal coating of Oakley St, Courter St, Belle Grove/Schindler, and Manor Dr has been postponed until Wednesday, September 24, due to equipment issues.
