7.      DIRECTOR’S REPORT

·         Ms Meany drew the Board’s attention to the results of the Bernards Township Customer Service Report gathered at the request of the Township Committee.  Responses for the Library show a high degree of satisfaction with the customer service received.  Of 376 respondents, all but one are overwhelmingly satisfied with the service provided by the Library.

·         Goals and Objectives will be going online.  The form will be loaded soon.  Staff sign in and timesheets are going online also.

·         The Children’s Library probably will not institute the self-checkout system because the cost does not seem to be justified.

·         Mid-year evaluations will be concluded by the end of June.

·         Library directional signs have been ordered by Thomas Timko, Assistant Township Engineer.  The signs will be installed in the four previously determined sites.

·         The Library is hiring Jane Stumpf as full-time librarian in the Children’s Library replacing Ellen Stork who has been promoted to Supervising Librarian.  Jane will start August 11.
