Planning and Zoning

  • The Planning and Zoning personnel administer all new development and homeowner improvements in the township.


Every home addition, deck, patio, fence, pool, driveway, shed or similar improvement will require a zoning permit. The Zoning officer will review each application for township regulations regarding front, rear, side yard setbacks, impervious surfaces and building heights.


  • The Planning department administers the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment applications. Applications for "permitted" uses or conditional uses are submitted to the Planning Board. Applications for "non-permitted" uses or variances of zoning schedule requirements are submitted to the Board of Adjustment. (See "Boards/Commissions" Planning Board and Board of Adjustment)
