Agricultural Advisory Meeting

John Carpenter opened the meeting at 7:00pm and opened the nominations for Chairperson. Mary Pavlini nominated Catherine Sorge, Mariellen Keefe seconded the motion and Jack Gray closed the nominations. The vote was unanimous.
SADC Rule Changes

Associates memo regarding Farmland Preservation Plan and Update and Action Plan
The Bernards FPP has been submitted. The SADC is reviewing the plans and we should receive comments from the state in the near future.
The AAC briefly reviewed and identified additional planning topics discussed in the memo for 2008.
Charter Day is Saturday May 17. The AAC will be located near Wachovia Bank and be grouped with the Green Team, the Environmental Commission and the Shade Tree Commission.

Bunny Fern Farm is the name of John Gray’s farm.
Catherine announced that the River Friendly program, which is a program that promotes farming near rivers, moved their meeting until Feb 27th.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm.
